Those of us involved in the CASRAI initiative can persuasively argue the potential long term benefit of data standards. Unfortunately, the arguments for the translation of these benefits into concrete, quantifiable savings and/or improvements in service in the near-term, are often not made, or not clear.

The University of Saskatchewan (www.usask.ca) has joined the Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI), an international not-for-profit organization working to standardize research administrative data.

McGill University is pleased to announce that it has joined the Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI). By becoming a CASRAI member, McGillis reaffirming its support for the international push to standardize how funding agencies collect information from the research community. The collaboration also represents another noteworthy step in the University’s drive to improve the services it offers researchers.

York University has joined the Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI), a not-for-profit standards development organization specializing in standardizing research data.
