Knowledge translation (KT)

Knowledge translation (KT) is most strongly developed in health research, particularly in Canada through CIHR's KT framework. KT comprises end-of-grant KT (dissemination after research is complete) and integrated KT (engagement of knowledge users throughout the research process). The Knowledge-to-Action (KTA) framework by Graham et al. (2006) operationalises KT through a cycle of knowledge creation and action steps. KT overlaps with implementation science, knowledge mobilisation and knowledge exchange but is most often used in the health-research context.
