Administrative Data

Data that are used primarily to facilitate the management and administration of the research life-cycle (including its funding). Examples include data about the people, organizations, funding, equipment, projects, outputs, outcomes and impacts of the research life-cycle. Administrative data may include metadata recorded that is about the administrative data being captured, such as the version number of a classification scheme used to classify the expertise of a Principal Investigator or a specific project.
