What are the criteria for authorship?
Authorship criteria are the conditions that determine who qualifies to be named as an author of a research publication. The dominant framework, the ICMJE criteria, requires substantial contribution, involvement in drafting or revising, approval of the final version, and accountability for the work — all four together.
