The dictionary grows through community contribution. Working groups review proposals each release cycle. Contributors are credited (using CRediT) when proposals are accepted.

What working groups look for

Terms that are genuinely missing — not synonyms of existing entries
Operational definitions: how does someone decide whether a thing is an instance of this term?
At least one worked example and one counter-example
Citations / authoritative sources where applicable
A clear fit with one of the 20 dictionary domains
