Press & media
Press inquiries
Journalists, editors, and communications staff covering CASRAI, CRediT, or the federation should write to the press address. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
The press address routes to the editorial board's communications liaison. Write to [email protected] with your inquiry, deadline, and any background context you can share. We aim to respond within 24 hours during the working week; longer over weekends and public holidays.
What we can offer
- Comment from the editorial board on dictionary releases, CRediT adoption, and federation news.
- Background on the standards landscape — NISO, euroCRIS, CODATA — and where CASRAI fits.
- Pointer interviews with working-group chairs on specific dictionary domains.
- Quotable copy for tight deadlines; we keep a short bench of pre-cleared statements.
- Brand assets — wordmark, logo, palette — from /resources/logos.
What sits elsewhere
- Official statements and dated announcements are at /news/press-releases.
- Editorial commentary and longer perspectives sit at /news/perspectives.
- The peer-reviewed bibliography on CRediT and contributorship is at /resources/bibliography.
- The curated authority library is at /resources/authority-links.
Embargo and quotation conventions
Embargoes are honoured when arranged in advance and confirmed in writing. Quotation conventions follow standard practice: comment from the editorial board is attributable to the named member by default; background comment is on the record unless we agree otherwise; nothing is off the record by default. Where the inquiry concerns a federation partner's work, we route you to that partner rather than commenting on their behalf — the press desks of NISO and ICMJE are the right contacts for their own statements.
