Relatherm SC is a fast-acting, emergency heat transfer system cleaner formulated to soften, dissolve, and remove hard carbon deposits and sludge from fouled thermal oil systems. Use it during emergency shutdowns or planned outages to restore heat transfer performance and efficiency by clearing fouling from wetted surfaces.
This potent cleaner is applied at a 100% system volume treat rate and is not a heat transfer fluid. It is low odor, safe to circulate to 65 °C (150 °F), and is designed to be followed by a dedicated flush with RelaFlush Fluid prior to refilling with new thermal oil.

Drain existing thermal oil, install a mesh screen in the Y-strainer, charge Relatherm SC at 100% of system volume , allow a 1–3 hour soak, then heat and circulate at ~150 °F (65 °C) for 4–6 hours. Drain warm.
Do I need to flush after cleaning?

Yes. After draining the cleaner, flush with RelaFlush Fluid to remove residual contaminants before refilling with fresh heat transfer fluid.
