How it works
Four steps, and the ones we skip
Ask CASRAI reads CASRAI, and nothing else. Here is the whole pipeline, including where a human sits in it.

Search
Your question is matched against every published CASRAI page — keyword and meaning search at the same time, so a question phrased in your words still finds a page phrased in ours.

Ground
Only the retrieved CASRAI text is given to the language model. It has no other source for its answer, and it is not allowed to fall back on general knowledge.

Cite
Every factual claim must point at the page it came from. Claims that cannot be sourced are removed rather than left standing, and the pages consulted are shown before the answer is written.

Review
Published answer pages
A named CASRAI editor reads, corrects and signs the answer before it is published, and it is re-checked whenever a page it cites changes.
