Stainless Steel KF25 to 3/8" 10mm Barb Fitting

in Vacuum Fittings

$14.95

In stock

Stainless steel adapter from a KF25 (NW25) vacuum flange to a 3/8 in (10 mm) hose barb – the smallest barb offered on a KF25 flange here. Same barb size as the KF16 version of this fitting; only the flange differs, at 25 mm nominal bore instead of 16 mm.

Description

A stainless steel adapter that converts a KF25 vacuum flange to a 3/8 in (10 mm) hose barb – the fitting you need wherever a hard-piped KF manifold has to hand off to flexible tube, for example onto a cold trap, a gauge line, a coolant loop or a bench-top pump.

KF25 flange end

KF25 (also written NW25) is the 25 mm nominal-bore size in the ISO-KF quick-flange system. All KF25 flanges are identical and symmetric, so this adapter joins to any KF25 port on any manufacturer’s equipment. The joint is made by trapping a centring ring and its O-ring between the two flange faces and closing a hinged clamp by hand – no bolts, no tools.

Barb end

The barb is sized for 3/8 in internal-diameter flexible hose. It is the same barb size as the KF16 version of this fitting; only the flange differs.

What the documentation does not cover

The supplier listing states the material as stainless steel but does not give the alloy grade, and no manufacturer datasheet was supplied. Overall length, pressure rating and ultimate vacuum are likewise unpublished. Centring rings, O-rings and clamps are not itemised with this part.

Frequently asked questions

What are the two connections?+

A KF25 (NW25) ISO-KF vacuum flange on one end and a 3/8 in (10 mm) hose barb on the other.

What size hose does the barb take?+

3/8 in internal diameter flexible hose. Secure it against the barb with a suitable hose clamp; no clamp is supplied with this fitting.

Will the flange fit my pump or manifold?+

Yes, if that port is KF25. ISO-KF flanges are symmetric and standardised, so every KF25 flange mates with every other KF25 flange irrespective of manufacturer.

What stainless grade is it?+

The listing states stainless steel but does not name the grade, and no manufacturer datasheet accompanied this product. We have not guessed at it - ask us if you need the alloy confirmed.

Is a centring ring and clamp included?+

No - the listing covers the adapter only. A KF joint also needs a centring ring with its O-ring and a hinged clamp, both sized to the flange.

Is a pressure or vacuum rating published?+

No. Neither a working pressure nor an ultimate vacuum figure is given in the source documentation for this fitting.
