Description
The compact Huber Minichiller 600 is an economic and environmentally friendly cooling solution for many laboratory applications. A calculation of water and waste water costs shows that a Minichiller can save up to 48,000 litres of water in a working week and due to its low procurement price, return on investment is achieved within a very short time. The units have small footprints, only requiring 225 x 360 mm on the laboratory bench and are therefore suitable for cooling reactor blocks, vacuum pumps, rotary evaporators or heat exchangers. Minichillers allow stable application conditions due to constant values for temperature, pressure and throughflow quantities. They are also perfect for continuous operation at ambient temperatures up to 40°C. Despite the economic purchase price the coolers are well equipped and have a large temperature indicator, fill level indicator, as well as status LEDs for the pump, cooling and heating. A 1 kW heater is optionally available with which the temperature range can be extended to +100°C. Minichillers are available as both air and water cooled models and use natural refrigerants.
The new OLÉ controller combines state-of-the-art technology with simple operation. OLÉ models are suitable for routine tasks in research and industry and are convincing as practice oriented basic equipment. Option: Pt100 sensor connection #10519 to display (not control) e.g. of the process temperature (only available factory fitted, additional charge).

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the 600 OLÉ and the 600-H OLÉ?+
The 600 OLÉ works from −20 to +40 °C with ±0.5 °C stability and is safety class I / NFL. The 600-H adds heating, extends the range to −20 to +100 °C, improves stability to ±0.2 °C, and is safety class III / FL — the classification that matters if you intend to run flammable thermofluids.
Do the two models need different power supplies?+
Yes, and this is the usual constraint at installation. The 600 OLÉ runs on 110–120 V 1~ 60 Hz drawing up to 8.5 A. The 600-H OLÉ runs on 208–240 V 1~/2~ 50/60 Hz drawing up to 12 A. Confirm the available outlet before selecting the -H variant.
What cooling capacity is available?+
The data sheet gives 0.6 kW at +15 °C, 0.5 kW at 0 °C and 0.35 kW at −10 °C. Both models use the same air-cooled circuit with an 85 g charge of R290, classified A3 / H220 — a flammable refrigerant, so review the siting against your institution's requirements.
What are the pump specification and fill volumes?+
The pressure pump delivers 24 lpm at 0.7 bar and the suction pump 18 lpm at 0.4 bar, through M16x1 male connections. Minimum filling volume is 2.8 litres with a 2.2 litre expansion volume. Noise level is 56 dB(A).
What is supplied with each unit?+
Both data sheets (3066.0001.98 for the 600, 3066.0003.98 for the 600-H) list an NW12 hose connector (#6087), M16x1 sleeve nuts (#6089), a blank plug (#6088) and an expansion vessel cover (#25178). Hoses and thermofluid are optional.
How is the unit monitored?+
The OLÉ controller drives an OLED display with 0.1 °C resolution and both optical and acoustic alarm signalling, with USB and RS232 interfaces for logging. Both models measure 280 × 490 × 424 mm and weigh 36 kg (79.4 lb).
