The Verified Contributor Directory
Researchers, editors, and publishers who implement CRediT can establish a public, ORCID-verified profile in the CASRAI Verified Contributor Directory — a knowledge-graph directory of the people who put the contributor-roles standard into practice. It complements LinkedIn rather than replacing it: where LinkedIn carries your professional history, the directory carries your verified scholarly and editorial contribution roles, mapped to the CRediT standard with resolvable URIs. That machine-readable, standards-aligned record strengthens the E-E-A-T signals — experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness — for both the contributor and the journals they work with.
The directory is a paid monthly membership. You can review pricing on the membership page and see the directory itself at /credit/authors. A few policies are worth knowing up front, and the full text lives in the directory terms: a profile is public only while the subscription is active, and is automatically made non-public if the subscription lapses or is cancelled; you can make your own profile non-public or delete it at any time; and every journal or blog you link is screened automatically (real domain, allowed sector, no off-site redirect, no dead link) and reviewed by a CASRAI editor before it appears.

How do I sign up?
Register with your institutional email address (.edu, .gov, .mil, or an equivalent academic/government domain) and choose a password.
Why does sign-up require an institutional address?
CASRAI verifies institutional affiliation by requiring an address issued by a university, government body, or equivalent. Personal addresses (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) are not currently accepted.
Will my CASRAI account be visible to others?
Your display name appears on any CRediT contributions you claim publicly. Email stays private unless you explicitly mark it visible in your CASRAI preferences. You can keep all contributions private from the Preferences page.
Can I delete my CASRAI account later?
Yes. From the Profile page you can delete all CASRAI-side data (claimed contributions, preferences, profile fields, password). If your account is also linked to ORCID, your ORCID record itself is untouched — only the CASRAI mirror is removed.
Does CASRAI cost anything for researchers?
No. Individual researcher accounts are free and always will be. CASRAI is a non-profit standards consortium funded by institutional membership; researcher tooling is a public good built on top of the standards we steward.
