The major area of my specialization is on the identification, separation and characterization of lead Phytochemicals from the Medicinal plants and to test them against heavy metals induced oxidative stress mediated multiple organ dysfunctions in rats. Medicinal plants represent the rich repository of natural products for the discovery of compounds with pharmacological properties like antoxidant, anti-hepatotoxic, antinephrotoxic, anti-carcinogenic, antibiotic, growth promoting or inhibiting, hemolytic analgesic, hypotensiven nand hypertensive agents. Most of the medicinal plants represent untapped resources of useful compounds or lead compounds for drugs against metal induced.nnToxicological effects of heavy metals on terrestrial animals have been extensively investigated, while scarce research has been undertaken on the chelation therapy against the metal induced toxicity in rats. Most of the antioxidant Phytochemicals like polyphenols, terphenoids, carotenoids, coumarins, proantho cyanidins, stilbenes, lignans, catechins and sulphoraphanes showing marked curative properties against heavy metals induced toxicities. Hence, the plant based Phytochemicals represents a valuable source for pharmaco-therapuetics against oxidative stress mediated pathologies and may lead to the invention of new drugs/ chelators.nnu2022tTo delineate the heavy metals induced organ toxicity/cytotoxicity and their role in inducing oxidative stress, inflammation, necrosis and apoptosis in rodent model and c
