Editorial commentary
DMP reviews differ from automated compliance checks in being qualitative and judgement-based. Reviewers comment on the realism of storage estimates, the adequacy of the metadata standard chosen, the proportionality of the sharing arrangements, and the clarity of role assignments. Institutions increasingly offer pre-submission DMP review as a service.
