Medtronic Suppliers: How to Apply, Order and Who to Contact

Medtronic suppliers means two things: companies selling to Medtronic and buyers ordering from it. Medtronic’s own channels, criteria and contacts for each.

Short answer: “Medtronic suppliers” can mean two different things. If you make products or provide services and want to sell to Medtronic, you start with Medtronic’s supplier program, which takes an interest email. If you are a clinic, lab or small business that wants to buy Medtronic products, Medtronic’s own page points to its Connect E-Store and to US Customer Care. Current suppliers use a separate resource hub. Details below follow Medtronic’s own pages, checked 2026-10-31.

What “Medtronic suppliers” means

The phrase covers two opposite directions of the same relationship, and Medtronic publishes a separate page for each.

  • Supplying to Medtronic: a company that produces goods or services and wants Medtronic as a customer. Medtronic’s page for this is titled “Share your interest to join the Medtronic Supplier Program.”
  • Buying from Medtronic: a healthcare professional or purchasing officer who wants to order Medtronic products. Medtronic’s page describes the Connect E-Store for this audience.
  • Working as an existing supplier: a company that already sells to Medtronic and needs purchase order terms, quality clauses or invoice contacts, which Medtronic publishes on its supplier resources page.

How do you apply to become a Medtronic supplier?

Medtronic’s page states one method: send an email to [email protected]. The email should include your company information, a person to contact, a brief description of the products or services your company produces, and your diverse supplier status. The page says a Medtronic representative will review the information and respond if the submission is applicable to Medtronic’s strategic focus. It gives no response timeline and does not say what happens to submissions that are not applicable.

The five selection criteria Medtronic lists

Criterion What Medtronic’s page says it looks for (examples)
Quality A mature quality management system compliant with applicable standards and regulations; an effective corrective and preventive action system; robust change notification and control processes.
Total cost Competitive pricing achieved through high-quality, low-cost processes; continuous improvement and value engineering.
Responsiveness Access to a global supply network; effective sub-tier supplier management; capacity to adjust resources rapidly; excellent delivery and customer service.
Risk mitigation Financial stability and business continuity plans; a mature risk analysis process; compliance with Medtronic’s Global Supplier Standards.
Supplier diversity “Small and diverse business status is considered during sourcing decisions.”

For background on diversity certifications, see the CASRAI entry on supplier diversity certifications (MBE, WBE, VOSB).

How do current Medtronic suppliers work with the company?

Medtronic’s supplier resources page describes Supplier Essentials as “a one-stop repository providing tools and resources” for business partners, and encourages current suppliers to take steps to access the Supplier Essentials portal. The same page publishes two sets of documents:

  • Purchase order terms: the page states that Terms and Conditions and additional Quality Clauses both apply to any Medtronic purchase order. The quality requirements are in document D00006149 Revision D, provided in English, Spanish, Chinese, French and Japanese. The purchase order terms are selected by the region and country where the Medtronic entity placing the order has its registered office.
  • Invoice status inquiries: Americas, [email protected]; Europe, Middle East and Africa, [email protected]; Asia Pacific and Greater China, the local Medtronic requisitioner.

How do buyers order from Medtronic?

Medtronic’s digital ordering page presents the Connect E-Store for “a healthcare professional seeking essential supplies or a purchase officer for a small or medium business.” The page says users can browse the catalog and order products, track orders, and view and download invoices, with round-the-clock access. The page offers a Login link and a Register now link. For US Customer Care, the page lists 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, phone 763-514-4000 and toll-free 800-633-8766, as listed on that page.

Which channel fits which need?

This checklist maps a need to the channel Medtronic’s own pages name. It adds no purchasing advice beyond them.

If you need to… Channel named on Medtronic’s pages
Offer your products or services to Medtronic Interest email to the supplier program address, with company information, contact person, product or service description and diverse supplier status
Find purchase order terms or quality clauses for an order you hold Supplier resources page, Purchase Order Terms and Conditions and Quality Clauses section
Check the status of an invoice The regional contact on the supplier resources page (Americas, EMEA) or the local requisitioner (Asia Pacific and Greater China)
Order products as a healthcare professional or small or medium business purchase officer Connect E-Store, via Log in or Register now
Speak to someone about a US order US Customer Care, at the hours and numbers listed above

If you are running a lab or clinic procurement process and want a general framework for evaluating vendors, the CASRAI guide to requests for proposal in lab procurement and the entries on group purchasing organizations and vendor-managed inventory cover the vocabulary. Common misunderstandings

“Becoming a supplier” and “buying from Medtronic” use the same portal

They do not, according to Medtronic’s pages. The supplier program page names an email address, Supplier Essentials is for current suppliers, and the Connect E-Store is a separate ordering platform for buyers.

Sending the interest email guarantees a response

Medtronic’s page says a representative will respond if the submission is applicable to its strategic focus. It states no timeline.

Small or diverse business status needs a separate application

The page lists supplier diversity as one of five criteria and asks for diverse supplier status in the interest email, so it is part of the same review rather than a separate application.
