This product is mechanically cooled by a high-performance scroll compressor. The CLC Series differs by offering a faster way to transfer the thermal load. Instead of cooling passively. Our CLCs use heat exchangers to cool the fluid in line. Allowing for less loss and more ease of use.

Similarly to the UC Series, our CLC Series are compatible with all of your most demanding equipment.

Frequently asked questions

What is the material capacity per run?+

10 lb of trim, or 20 lb of milled material, held in two 6" x 48" columns fitted with sight glasses. With the recovery pump fitted the system is rated to process up to 160 lb of material over an eight-hour day.

Which solvents is it designed for?+

Pure butane and a 70/30 propane blend. Every vessel carries a 1/4" MJIC line for nitrogen purging, and 100 psi cryogenic pressure relief valves are fitted for pressure protection.

What is in the base packing list?+

Two 200 lb ASME solvent tanks, two 6" x 48" material columns, one 6" x 12" CRC with a 5 micron disc, one 3" x 18" sieve, one 10" x 10" condensing coil and one 39" x 30" x 59" aluminum rack.

What does the turnkey configuration add?+

A UL listed 21 CFM UVP-21 corrosion-resistant two-stage vacuum pump, a 50 L 200°C 9 kW closed-loop heater (CRH-50L), a -40°C 50 L closed-loop recirculating chiller (CLC-50/40) and a 6 CFM recovery pump, which is included with the Active system.

What are the chiller's power requirements?+

The CLC-50/40 supplied with the turnkey package runs on single-phase 220-240 V / 60 Hz, draws 4,035 W total (3,675 W compressor, 100 W circulation pump) and holds temperature to ±0.1°C using a PT100 sensor, over a range from -40°C to room temperature.

What does the optional peer review in the product name refer to?+

Engineering peer review of the extraction system, which several jurisdictions require before a hydrocarbon extraction system may be installed. Confirm the current scope of any peer-review documentation and the requirements of your own authority having jurisdiction before ordering; the review is performed by a third party, not by us.
