- A ready-to-paste AI-use disclosure block, formatted either as Methods/Acknowledgements prose for a typical manuscript or as a JATS XML <sec> element for journals that accept structured submissions. It names the AI tool, optionally the model version, lists the uses you ticked, and asserts human responsibility for the content.
- Whose AI policies does it cover?
- The presets summarise public AI-author/AI-use guidance from ICMJE, Nature Portfolio, NEJM, COPE, PLOS, Cell Press (Elsevier), Wiley, Springer Nature, Frontiers, and MDPI. The output prose is generic enough that most other publishers will also accept it; pick the closest match if your publisher is not listed.
- Is this legal advice?
- No. This is not legal, editorial, or compliance advice. The tool summarises published publisher policies as a convenience. You remain responsible for following your specific journal’s instructions to authors and any contractual obligations.
- How current are the policies?

- Use the ICMJE Vancouver or COPE preset as a generic baseline — both are widely accepted defaults. The output prose explicitly states authors take full responsibility, that AI is not credited as an author, and lists the uses, which satisfies the substance of nearly every publisher policy in 2026.
