EndNote’s advantages are concentrated in large-team library sharing (up to 1,000 collaborators) and in institutions where EndNote is already the established, supported standard.
Can I convert an EndNote library to Zotero, or the other way around?

Yes, using standard exchange formats like RIS or EndNote XML — the reference data itself transfers. What doesn’t transfer automatically is anything tool-specific, such as custom output/CSL styles or citations already inserted in a manuscript via one tool’s Word plugin, which need to be re-linked after import.
Does my university give me EndNote for free?
