Brand kit

Logos and brand assets

The CASRAI wordmark, logo variants, and brand palette. Use is governed by the trademark policy — attribution-aligned, not promotional.

The brand kit collects the CASRAI wordmark, the logo in its standard and reversed variants, and the small palette that runs through the dictionary website and federation materials. It is intended for editorial, academic, and journalistic use — citing the dictionary, illustrating a working-group report, accompanying a press piece, marking up an institutional adoption page.

Files

The full set of SVG and PNG files ships with the v2026.2 brand-kit release. The wordmark and primary logo will be available in standard and reversed (for dark backgrounds) variants, with the source SVG provided for accessibility scaling.

Asset bundle · pending

The brand-kit ZIP (SVG, PNG, PDF) will be downloadable from this page once finalised. Until then, the trademark policy still applies — see the linked policy below.

Brand palette

Three colours carry the entire brand. The values are exposed as CSS custom properties on the dictionary website; the names below are the editorial tokens used in the design system.

Trademark notice

The name CASRAI, the wordmark, and the logo are trademarks of the consortium. Use is governed by the full policy at /legal/trademark. The short version: use the marks to refer to CASRAI and its assets, do not modify them, do not imply endorsement, and do not use them as part of your own product or service name.

What you may do without asking

  • Use the wordmark or logo to cite CASRAI in editorial, academic, or journalistic context.
  • Embed the logo at its native proportions in slide decks, posters, and library guidance citing the dictionary.
  • Use the brand palette to match a CASRAI-themed adaptation of a poster or one-pager released under CC-BY 4.0.

What requires written permission

  • Modifying the logo or wordmark in any way.
  • Using the marks as part of a product, service, or company name.
  • Using the marks in a way that implies CASRAI endorsement of a product, service, or institution.
  • Use in commercial promotional material, including conference sponsorships where attendees might infer endorsement.

Permission requests go to [email protected]. Press requests and brand-asset queries from journalists go to /contact/press.

Federation marks

When CASRAI work is published jointly with federation partners — NISO, euroCRIS, CODATA — each partner's marks remain subject to its own trademark policy. The CASRAI brand kit does not grant rights over partner marks.
