Korea Citation Index (KCI) and KRI: South Korea’s National Researcher and Citation Database

KCI is South Korea’s national citation database and KRI is its linked national researcher registry, both operated by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).   • Language matters. Both kci.go.kr and kri.go.kr are Korean-government systems; while portions of NRF’s own site are available in English, day-to-day use of KCI and KRI (journal search, researcher profile registration) is primarily Korean-language, and international collaborators should expect to need institutional or local-partner support to navigate registration.
  • Confirm requirements with the specific NRF program.
