Verify a CASRAI credential
Every certificate CASRAI issues carries a verification code. Enter that code and this page returns the issuing record itself — the holder, the credential, the examination passed and the date. No account, no sign-in, and no expiry on the check.

What a check returns
The result is read live from the issuing record each time it is asked for. It is not a cached badge, an image, or something the holder can edit.
- Verified
- A certificate exists for this code and is in good standing. The page shows the certificate itself, together with the holder, the credential and designation, the course examined, the date of issue and the signatory.
- Genuine, no longer current
- A real certificate, past its recertification date. The holder did pass the examination on the date shown — lapse reflects a currency deadline, not a finding against them, and it is reported as a different answer from a code that matches nothing.
- Revoked
- A certificate was issued for this code and has since been withdrawn by CASRAI. It should not be relied on. Reasons are not published on a public page.
- No match
- No certificate in the register carries this code. In practice this is nearly always a mistyped or truncated code, and the page shows you exactly what was looked up so you can compare it against the document.
Finding the code
Where the verification code appears
- On the face of the certificate, beneath the signature line, alongside the address casrai.org/verify.
- In the certificate PDF, and in the Open Badge issued with it.
- In the holder’s own account, at My certifications, where it can be copied or shared as a link.
Holders: the code is yours to publish. It resolves for anyone, permanently, and exposes only what is printed on the certificate — never an email address or an account.

Who issues the credentials you are checking
CASRAI has maintained the terminology and reporting standards of research administration for over a decade. It assumed leadership of the CRediT contributor-roles taxonomy in 2014 and carried it through to adoption as ANSI/NISO Z39.104-2022, now used by publishers, funders and research institutions worldwide. The examinations behind these credentials are drawn from that body of work.
The certification programme is academically and medically directed by Dr. Diana Nieves Castro, MD, Programme Director, who sets each syllabus, blueprint and pass mark and signs every credential the programme issues.
What a credential certifies: that its holder passed the CASRAI examination for the named course on the date shown, scored against the published blueprint and pass mark — and that anyone can verify it, permanently, from the code on its face.
