How the checklist submission actually works

  1. Draft the manuscript first, complete the checklist against it. The checklist is a disclosure audit, not a drafting template — write the paper following normal qualitative reporting practice, then go item-by-item and confirm each one is addressed somewhere in the manuscript, noting the page or section number.
  2. Submit the completed checklist as a separate file at manuscript submission, typically alongside the cover letter and manuscript file.
