Editorial commentary
Active grants are those for which work is being performed during the disclosure window, regardless of funding source. Disclosure typically includes sponsor, project title, role of the investigator, person-months of effort, total award value, and project period. Active grants disclosure is a subset of current and pending support and the NIH Other Support frameworks. It supports overlap analysis, conflict of commitment review, and verification of effort allocations.
