Editorial commentary
Pending grants disclosure provides reviewers and programme officers with visibility into a researcher's overall funding portfolio in flight, enabling overlap, effort, and scope assessments. The disclosure typically includes the same fields as active grants and is required by both NSF and NIH. The proposal under consideration is itself listed as pending. Pending support must be updated promptly when proposals are awarded, withdrawn, or declined.
