Editorial commentary
Current and pending support disclosures are required by most US federal research funders and increasingly by international counterparts. The disclosure includes domestic and foreign support, salaried positions, consulting arrangements with research components, and in-kind contributions such as access to facilities, students, or proprietary materials. Standardised templates (such as the SciENcv-generated form) are being adopted across agencies to harmonise reporting. The instrument is a central operational mechanism for implementing NSPM-33.
