- Is an instance
A DMP revised at the project's annual review to add a new sensitive dataset.

A project closeout report.
Editorial commentary
In the active phase, dataset placeholders become specific deposits with DOIs, storage estimates are reconciled against actual usage, and ethical or technical changes are recorded as plan revisions. Active DMPs are the principal use case for machine-actionable workflows because automated updates from repositories, storage systems, and CRIS minimise manual maintenance burden.
