Editorial commentary
Sharing commitments are the focus of funder open-data policies. Typical structure: dataset; access category (open, restricted, controlled, closed); licence (CC-BY-4.0 commonly); embargo period; repository. maDMPs encode these structurally so that compliance can be machine-checked at deposit time.
