Editorial commentary
Project in CRIS encompasses both internally funded and externally funded projects, and large collaborative endeavours alongside small single-investigator projects. The Project entity holds title, short and full abstract, keywords, project type (basic, applied, infrastructure), discipline tags, scientific area, start/end dates, status (active, complete, terminated), and links to People, Organisations, Funding entities, Outputs, and other Projects. The Project entity is the most common subject of a RAiD (Research Activity Identifier) when one is minted.
