A virtual doctor visit with us in Puerto Rico costs US$79, the same for adults and for children from 6 months old. You pay by card online when you request the visit, through Stripe. If the visit cannot take place, we refund you in full. We do not bill insurance, but we give you an itemized receipt (superbill) on request.

What the virtual doctor visit cost in Puerto Rico includes
The US$79 covers one real-time online doctor visit by video. Depending on what the doctor considers appropriate for you, the visit can include the following, with no extra charge:
- An assessment of your health problem and a treatment plan.
- A prescription, if appropriate. We do not prescribe controlled substances.
- A lab order, if the doctor considers it necessary.
- A doctor's note for work or school, when appropriate after the visit.
- Advice to be seen in person or to go to the ER, if your situation needs it.
What's not included
The price does not include what others charge: the lab bills for lab tests, the pharmacy for medications, and whoever sees you in person for an in-person visit. We will not charge you anything more for the visit.
When and how you pay
You pay when you request the visit, on Stripe's secure payment page, by credit or debit card (and Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link if they appear on that page). Payments are received by The Health Initiative, the organization that runs the service. The payment page does not ask for any health information. See how a visit works.
Do you take insurance?
We do not bill insurance: you pay the US$79 directly. On request we give you an itemized receipt (superbill) with the visit details, so you can file a claim with your plan yourself. HSA and FSA cards
If your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA) card works like a debit card, you can usually use it on the payment page. Whether the expense is eligible is up to your plan; keep your receipt in case they ask for it.
Cancellations and refunds
We refund you in full if the visit can't take place, for example if we can't confirm you are in Puerto Rico, if a minor's parent or legal guardian is not present, or if no doctor is available. If you cancel before the visit, you also get a full refund. Details in the cancellation and refund policy.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
